This page has two lists: a list of books I’m currently reading, followed by a list of my favorites. I always read more than one book at a time. I don’t read like a normal person… must be ADD. Feel free to read along or chat me about any of these. I like to talk books!
Current Reads:
Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, by Stieg Larsson
The Passage, by Justin Cronin
To Say Nothing of the Dog, by Connie Willis
Milrose Munce and the Den of Professional Help, by Douglas Anthony Cooper … FINISHED, and this book was amazingly clever and funny
The Maze Runner, by James Dashner… FINISHED, a good, mildly creepy read
Sisters Red, by Jackson Pearce… FINISHED, a lovely spin on a classic fairy tale
Favorites:
The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis
The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub
The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis
Feed by MT Anderson
1,000 Places to See Before You Die *
(*I have this book highlighted all over. Whenever I’m blue, I open it up and plan a new trip to somewhere far away. Oh yeah, and I loved the book before the show came out.)
Lips Touch, by Laini Taylor
Milrose Munce and the Den of Professional Help, by Douglas Anthony Cooper
The Forest of Hands and Teeth, by Carrie Ryan

So what is Eve and the choice made in heaven about? Is it a C.S. Lewis type of book?
You definitely need to read The thirteenth tale. You will love it!!!!!

I love The Talisman, too! Not many people know about it, but it’s so brilliant. I need to read it again. Apparently they’re still trying to make a movie or mini-series out of it. They’d better not ruin it, that’s all I’ve got to say. I still have my 20 year old copy…

@Stephanie- During my teen years, I read The Talisman over and over as my means of escape from a cruel step-father. I love, love, love that book. The Black House (the sequel) came out several years ago and I’ve tried to read it a couple times, but haven’t been able to get through it. It’s just not the same. But I’ve always wanted a best friend who was secretly a werewolf, and for a while I would try to slide the phrase “God pounds his nails” into conversations… it was awkward.
