Tonight’s installment: Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, by Mo Willems.

(Yes, he’s heard this one a few times…)

J did a science project on the planet Neptune. He did a sweet Power Point on it, gathering pictures and writing slides. Neptune has a few really cool things going for it, not the least of which is the fact that the atmosphere is made up largely of methane. You know what methane is right? RIGHT??

J wanted to make sure all of his sixth grade classmates did.

Behold the final slide of his presentation:

According to J, because farts are the most hilarious thing on any planet, it took the teacher ten minutes to get the class settled down.

8:33 pm March 24, 2011Jimmer time

Tonight was the BYU v/s Florida game… Jimmer brought the team all the way to the Sweet 16, baby.

You should know that D is pretty enamored with Jimmer. He will yell, “GO JIMMER!” at any basketball game on TV… even if it’s a women’s game. This evening he woke up from his nap just in time for the game to start… and he did not wake up in a good mood.

“My too tired…”

(Do you like how Z loves to antagonize the tired two-year-old? Do you like how I coddle and baby-talk the tired two-year-old?)

Holding his basset-ball gets him ready for game time.

He got happy enough to go with me to Winger’s to get some wings… where he got very excited over the Jimmer cut-out that stood in the lobby.

Dude… take five BIG steps back from the TV…

By the end of the game, he was 10% upset that Jimmer lost, and 90% upset that Jimmer ended up with a big bandaid on his chin. Jimmer took a bit of a beating.

This Jimmer:

Not this Jimmer:

(D’s Betta fish… which he named Jimmer)
