Kinda funny, your son chasing & tackling his friend to tell him to stop chasing the teenagers. Your husband wanting to hunt down the culprits... And - proteins cannot be used in compost! Alright, my brain power is obviously spent for today. I'm glad you're all safe & sound. :) Here are my first thoughts:

I'd love to know what would have happened had you all found the red car and the chicken-throwing teens. Somehow, I'm imagining a street fight, like in Weird Al's "Eat It" video.
