This is so weird. I hadn't thought about "Big Mac, Fillet of Fish" for years but on 7.7.07, my whole family was at my Grandma's for a Christmas in July themed reunion (most of our in-laws don't celebrate Christmas now so we all could make it. Which I guess is the point.) In the middle of this hot, festive Saturday, my brother, who is your brother’s age and a father of two, asks me to come out into the yard to do something with him. Something he didn’t want our male cousins or uncles to see. He wanted me to do the “Big Mac, Fillet of Fish” paddy cake with him, which I of course taught him and made him, in lieu of a girl to play with, do all the time. I was shocked we both remembered it, and tickled he wanted to do it with me now, secretly, under the apple tree. And then, what do I find today, but you and your wee one performing it on the internet. How bizarre. She is super cute by the way!

@Kerri- Weird! I hadn't thought about it in years either and then a few months ago Zoe asked me if I knew a rhyme called "Miss Mary Mack". Not only did I know the words to it, but I also knew some hand slaps to go with it. She ate it up! I started teaching her as many of them as I remembered (including Big Mac), and she thinks I'm cool. 5 year olds are easy to wow. :)

I don't know what scares me more: the way you remember it all, the 'hot' jammies or McDonalds.

But you both are so darling. Thanks for sharing.
