I’ve officially signed up for this:

While several of my blogging acquaintances are doing the NaBloPoMo thing (which is crazily committing to posting daily on your blog for the entire month of November) I have committed to finishing my novel this month. And while I’ve already got huge chunks of it pieced together, the idea is to work on it daily and have a completed 50,000 word manuscript by the end of the month. And for me, I’d also like to have some hefty revision done by the 3oth as well. It’s just the final push I need to actually get it finished! (Because — if you didn’t already know this about me — I have a zillion scattered ideas, but I have a very hard time with follow-through. I believe the left side of my brain is totally non-functioning.) I already have my rough-draft-readers at the ready, emailing and Facebooking me periodically saying “Hey, is that rough draft ready yet?” Well, um, no, ladies. But soon. Very soon. The final push is at hand. And until I am finished, the blog will stagnate and grow some weeds, and you won’t find me skulking around Facebook so much, and I quite possibly won’t be answering my phone (sometimes that’s just because I can’t find the phone, though, even though I hear it ringing… because it is now very hard to bend down and look under furniture for the stupid, ringy thing). Out with all of the distractions! And that includes laundry. And feeding my kids.

I’m looking for a cool little widget that updates my word count daily. So that if you are at all interested, you can keep tabs on my progress.

So if you’ve always wanted to write a book… jump on the wagon!

1. I’m a bit stymied this morning, stuck in my plot where I’ve been for a while.

2. I can barely do NaBloPoMo! Good luck finishing your novel. I’d love to read a draft if you want feedback from someone with no experience or expertise but a whole lot of interest and belief in you.

   I don’t know if I could write anything worthy of reading everyday…I can barely remember to brush my hair! But I’m sure you understand Take care of yourself!
