When I have seriously considered homeschooling before, I worried that I would feel like I was doing it wrong. Because I feel like that all the time anyway.

I bet you are doing a fabu job. It's just week one. They hardly do anything during the first week, at all, at public school.

Deep breathing is the required homework for the weekend.

Take care!

Oh Suz, I feel your pain and somehow understand your confusing writing. While again I have no children of my own, school starts for me on monday which means hundreds of college kids in my store at one time and inevitably, someone will puke or have a nervous brake down and I will be crying in the bathroom by the following week because it's the only place where I can be alone. Still all that beats teaching, which I have done and felt totally overwhelmed by, plus the pay stinks. You are taking the hard road, but it's the right one which I'm sure you know. It always takes time to adjust to a new job.

Now as you say "in more other news", are you talking about that new Jett Lee movie? Jason Statham and Jett Lee are super cute, if I'm thinking of the right movie. It's the sort of film my husband and I can both enjoy but in very different ways.

I know you feel like you're on the edge, but golly, you're funny! Have a good weekend. Rest. Relax. Do something fun. I just know you're doing great with the homeschooling. You're a superhero in my book.

I know that this is your first week so it feels incredibly overwhelming, but you are a teacher now and look at mom. Last year she was MIA for a whole year. It does get easier, just hang in there and a good prep day every now and again really helps. They seem really annoying when your kid is out of school every other week, but now as the teacher you can probably understand them a little more. They help a lot! I never thought that teaching preschool would be so overwhelming but you get the hang of prep and lessons with a little time. Good luck and hang in there, it's really worth it!

I feel your teacher pain, too, of course but I don't want to talk about that. (We can share anxiety attacks later; I only have one day next week to set up my classroom).

I want to reflect on the joy of James McAvoy. Thanks for bringing him up, he is delicious. I'm beginning to feel a little weird, however, begging my kids to watch certain movies (Harry Potter Goblet of Fire, anyone?). I don't want to be That Mom. Yet here I am.
